The Heart Behind Hounds and Houses
Hi, I’m Michaela, founder of Hounds & Houses. Caring for animals has been part of my life from a young age, and I understand that every pet deserves patience, attention and genuine care.
I personally oversee every booking and work with a small team of trusted, police-cleared sitters. Before your booking begins, you’ll be introduced to your assigned sitter so you know exactly who will be caring for your pets and home.
Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended trip, our goal is simple: to give you complete peace of mind while your pets remain happy and comfortable at home.
I also hold a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Johannesburg, which has strengthened my thoughtful and compassionate approach to caring for both pets and their owners.
